Do you need help making steady progress and finding better solutions for your specific needs? I was a student who for 25 years had my fair share of struggle with practicing and progress. I get it! I am now a professional violinist and teacher of 11 years. Together, we will set realistic goals that you can implement successfully at home on your own time. I invite students of all ages, and of all levels (beginner-advanced). I hope to bring to you not just an improvement in your violin playing, but an enhanced sense of self and creativity through music making.

Nice to meet you! I am a professional violinist and teacher with over a decade of experience. I have a Bachelors degree from The Juilliard School and a Masters degree from Yale University. I am currently a concertmaster violinist at The Orchestra Now.

The demands violin playing are often difficult to meet. Throughout my journey with the violin (which for me started at the tender age of 3), I've experienced struggle along with the joys of learning and mastering an instrument. While practicing on my own, and with the help of students, I've been able to figure out ways to improve the learning experience without things falling into a stressful routine.

I took lessons from Yurie on violin as a secondary instrument when I attended Yale University. Yurie was an amazing teacher. I advanced more in half a year with her than I had ever learned in 4 years with other teachers. I only wish I had found her sooner! Her teaching approach is accessible, and very insightful. 10/10 would recommend.
