My name is Yoana Hilt and music is my passion. I've been playing since I was 12 years old and truly believe that a life filled with music is a life most enriched. My specialty is piano, flute, saxophone, violin, and viola instruction. Nothing else on earth sounds as good or comes as close to the inspiring tones and uplifting melodies that can be played on them. I plan to help them learn how to play classical and modern music, and how to improvise with the styles they learn and make up their own music, and go out into the world and perform with their talents. What a delight it is to have Yoana as a music teacher for both of my children. She has the perfect blend of skill training and musical passion that she passes on to them. They not only are learning how to master the songs with excellent technique, but more importantly, she teaches them how to truly feel and understand the music. She adds in fun and even a little competition (to make tracking practice hours more like a game) and is always smiling and full of joy which makes them look forward to lessons. As a parent, I have full confidence that she is giving her whole heart to my children throughout their weekly sessions. I love how much she pushes and stretches them, all while loving and encouraging them at the same time. We look forward to many more years learning from her.

Yoana is so patient with our family and takes the time to notice individual strengths of my children. She takes into account each student's interests and guides and coaches them toward goals they are invested in. She uses a curricula that is classic and gets beautiful results! Yoana is such an amazing cheerleader for her students and her kindness and joy in supporting them is contagious. With her encouragement and strong teaching skill, students are confident and equipped to play music they love.
