I hated piano when my parents first started me, I was secretly hoping that one day something terrible would happen to my piano so that the teach never had to come teach me and made me practice like a hamster on the spinning wheel ever again… After years of struggling and lots of tears, I quit. Little did I know that I would rediscovered that giant instrument in my teen years, falling hopelessly in love with classical music that later I became a professional pianist… I traveled around playing concerts for years, I’ve always enjoyed sharing my passion of music with people, but I couldn’t stop wondering, why did I hated piano so much when I was young? What if my first piano teach didn’t push me too hard? What if there’s a better way to learn piano…etc. Those questions led me to this ultimate idea: maybe I can be a better teacher for what I’ve gone through. I started full time teaching in 2018 as a piano instructor at Westminster Conservatory. Piano was secondary instrument for most of my students, that allowed me to experience different playing levels, and tailored my piano lesson to suit my students individually, and later I started my own studio accepting students at all ages. Music is the only universal language that touches your heart without words, learning piano truly is a supreme gift of a lifetime, and it will be my honor, to share this joy of learning with you.
