My name is Will, I am a hard worker with an intense passion for teaching and working with students. I strive daily to become the very best at what I do, and recognize that it doesn't come over night. I am a musician and know that music has its place not only as a universal language but also a step towards learning more about yourself. Music has been flowing through me since I was born, but I began studying music in 2000 simply because my dad was a musician. I took to it a little more than my father and chose to study music at Palm Beach Atlantic University where I earned a Music Education degree and a K-12 Teaching Certificate for Music. During the course of my education I spent my free time teaching, growing as an educator and helping students grow musically. I am extremely thankful for the journey I have been privileged to travel thanks to music, with your permission I'd like to be your tour guide and lead you on a musical journey. *** Lesson Details *** Do you like a tasty, delicious, flavor-filled dinner? Well great! You'll love my lessons structured like a nice 5 course meal. The best part, you get to pick what you want for dinner (whatever styles, songs, or genres). Check it out! Course 1 - Appetizer - We will focus on a technique concept first making sure the technique is locked in properly. Once technique is grasped, we move on. Course 2 - Salad - It's super easy to fill up on salad, but not here. During this course we will spend time on basic rhythm concepts. Which will set us up for course 3. Course 3 - Soup - For this course I will ask you to display coordination between hands! Getting the soup on the spoon and in your mouth without spilling. Course 4 - Entree - The majority of the lesson is spent here focusing on the concept which you will leave the studio having mastered. This concept will be a major standard or building block for the rest of our lessons and will have the most "protein". Course 5 - Dessert - Like most desserts this will be a little more than you can handle after the last 4 courses. But still, an encouraging concept to look forward to the next time you return. I will show you a concept just out of your reach to test your ability to work at home. Seems daunting if your chef doesn't know how to cook, but I assure you after your first lesson you'll leave with a full belly. *** Studio Equipment *** Music Studio in Basement, Drum Set, Guitars, Djembe, Tank Drums & Various World Instruments *** Travel Equipment *** This information depends on the situation. For all percussion lessons I can provide the instruments needed for studies. For all other lessons we will discuss needs upon first contact.
