Classical Voice with Whitney S.

I am a professional opera singer with a Bachelor's degree from Portland State University and a Master's degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, both in Classical Voice Performance. My voice students can expect weekly lessons with exercises tailored to each of their individual needs. Generally speaking, we will work to release vocal tension, connect to breath support and find your own unique voice! I also teach beginning to intermediate piano to students of all ages. We will work on repertoire building, finger placements, dexterity and musicianship. As a professional singer, I have been seen on the stages of San Francisco Opera, Lamplighter's Music Theater, Pocket Opera and West Bay Opera. I also perform extensively with educational outreach organizations, bringing the operatic art form to elementary schools all around the San Francisco Bay Area. Lastly, I take great pride in the work that I do with my fellow LGBTQ+ musicians, and specialize in bringing gender parity and compassionate voice into the lesson space.
