I believe it important to capture a student's interest and excitement and allow them to enjoy what they are playing! Having the student focus on listening and enjoying the sounds of the piece they are playing allows them to further their musical appreciation. I will cater the practice routine for each student in order to not only keep them engaged but also to further their musicality and technical skills.

My name is Vivian and I'm a senior at Northwestern University studying physics and piano performance, with training in piano pedagogy! I've played piano for 17 years and also violin for 14. I love music and I love to teach so I hope to spread my love for music. People usually say I'm easy-going and friendly, and especially patient - which I believe is the most productive trait for teaching!
