The best violin teacher you could wish for! I am an award-winning international concert violinist, violin professor at Taylor University, and a Concertmaster at the Fort Wayne Philharmonic. I will help you advance in your violin playing and pursue your goals, provided you are willing to practice! I cater my lessons specifically to your needs and desires as a musician, and I will challenge you while keeping the process fun and enjoyable. I have been playing the violin since I was 5, and first attended the famous St-Petersburg Conservatory Preparatory School in St-Petersburg, Russia. After that I went to Interlochen Arts Academy on full scholarship for 3 years. I hold my Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Violin Performance from DePaul University in Chicago. There I studied for 6 years with Ilya Kaler, who, in turn, was a pupil of the great Leonid Kogan. By studying with me, you will continue the lineage of great violin playing. I have played solo concerts in the USA, Europe, and Asia. I have also been the concertmaster of the Illinois Symphony Orchestra, and a part of the Colorado Symphony Orchestra before I moved to Fort Wayne. I have an extensive experience teaching violin privately, at private and public schools, at a summer camp (Interlochen), and on the university level. I believe that everyone is unique and has something wonderful to offer to the world, if directed the correct way. Everyone also has their own style of learning and playing. I will help you achieve YOUR goals, while making the lessons fun and challenging enough for you to progress. I am an expert in classical violin repertoire and audition preparation. My rates are $75/hour and $40/half hour
