Drums with Vincent D.

Hi, there! My name is Vincent D. I've been teaching private lessons since 2013 and have been playing drums/ percussion since 2000. Like a lot of musicians I started taking lessons, mainly on guitar but focusing on drums as I found my passion there. Playing in a Worship band during my high school years also helped lay my musical foundation with different musicians and settings. I'm currently involved in several music projects around the New York area ranging from more jazz/pop to alternative rock, which has helped me play at venues around town as well as having the opportunity for light touring out of state, including a tour to SXSW '15 in Austin, TX.My approach is getting students to master the basic building blocks of drumming like technique and feeling in their playing. I can cover a wide range of styles such as Rock, Funk, and Pop, so incorporating music that the student enjoys is a very important part of my teaching. I look forward to meeting you!
