Opera Voice

Levels Taught:
Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced

MY GOAL:

My goal as a voice teacher is to help my students discover their vocal talent and ability and to develop their voice to the fullest potential. My aim is to focus on developing healthy, life-long singers who appreciate the art form of vocal music. Whether you consider yourself a gifted singer or not, what is important is your desire to work on becoming a better singer. I work with many different ages and levels. I work with students who have trouble matching pitch to students who are well developed singers to elderly students who just want to keep their voices singing. Singing professionally may not be your goal, but if you immerse yourself in music, you will gain skills and personal insights in every aspect of life. Students and parents will be surprised with the confidence that is built in studying music.

Course Outline:

Vocal students will receive the following:
Instruction in basic music theory skills, technical instruction to allow the student to find his or her own best and healthy sounds, repertoire choices appropriate to the age and vocal development, an introduction to basic diction, including foreign languages, coachings for character development and musicality, and performance opportunities.
