I have two passions in life: music and teaching. People say I have a gift for working with kids, for understanding their needs and how to make learning enjoyable and rewarding. With my over 20 years of experience and Master Degree in Music, I can cater my lessons to any skill level  (from the beginner to advanced) and any learning pace, depending on your unique needs and goals.

I've been teaching piano for more then 20 years. Many of my students stayed with me from elementary through high school. I think it is extremely important to develop a trusting relationship with a student and being able to understand them.  I think I am pretty successful at that. I have very kind personality and extremely patient.  My philosophy - I teach a person first of all, not just a piano as a subject. My main goal -is to make students life-long music lovers, give them the skills for enjoyable music making for life.

My children took lessons with Ms. Vera from early elementary school, up until both of their senior years of high school! So many people stop taking lessons once they reach middle school/high school and then regret it later on in adult life, but Ms. Vera motivated them to keep coming back! What my kids liked the best is how she let them choose what they wanted to learn how to play, whether it be the theme from star wars, harry potter, etc. You won't regret taking lessons with her!

Vera is a great teacher! I do not know much about classical music,  but her program is very impressive. My child likes it a lot, much more than any other after school activities. And it helps him to concentrate during regular school hours, I have noticed a difference. Highly recommend.  Take a trial lesson and you will see yourself.
