I am a passionate music educator who has taught piano at all ages and levels for over twenty years.  I am currently an elementary school general music educator, and have instructed music history courses on the university level.  I am an active performer as well, so am able to bring authentic experience to my students that helps them to reach their maximum musical potential!

Vashti is a Maryland-certified teacher who has taught students of all ages and levels, ranging from elementary school through college courses.  She holds a B.A. In music and English, and an M.A. and Ph.D. in music history.  She is a professional educator, musician, and actor.

Vashti is a truly amazing teacher. Her knowledge and expertise are seriously impressive. Vashti will meet you at your level and build up your confidence as a student. She is extremely patient, understanding and fun!

Vashti has been my daughter's piano teacher for almost a year, she is an amazing teacher, she is prompt and extremely professional. My Daughter is always excited to meet with her for lessons and has come such a long way. We are so happy to have her. She is the "Best Instructor Ever"

Vashti is a wonderful instructor who teaches theory and techniques in such an applicable fashion that the intimidation of mastering difficult classical works is removed.

My previous teacher was a performer who dabbled in teaching. It's nice to have a teacher versed in piano pedagogy.

Vashti is a wonderful teacher and the kids really enjoy their lessons with her.

The room was a mess and she successfully began two young kids on piano. What can I say?! 😂Needless to say, next week we’ll be ready. 💯
