Acoustic Guitar with Ty C.

I am a very active musician, playing on a stage at least 1-2 times per week, and have been for the past 10 years. I have played with multiple bands, and toured the country with one of those. My focus is guitar, both acoustic and electric. Rather than teaching students how to play a guitar, I focus on teaching them how to make music using a guitar. Music Theory is very pivotal in my lessons. When you take lessons from me you will have fun, but you will be encouraged to be dedicated and grow. I expect consistent practice at home from my students, as I want them to get the most out of every lesson. I love kids, in fact my full time job is to teach kids ages 5-18. I personally discovered music as a preteen, and have been pursuing it ever since! Music is a passion and an expression for me. My greatest desire is to see other people discover this and help them reach their maximum potential! I have a very eclectic style, as I have played in blues, contemporary, country, bluegrass, rock, funk, jazz, alternative, R&B, and pop music. I desire to know what a student is passionate about, and help them to play what they enjoy and have fun!
