I am a second generation piano, clarinet and saxophone teacher. I was raised around music, and was taught piano and clarinet from a young age by my mother, a private music instructor of over 20 years. I have studied under three master clarinetists while in high school and college, and have performed with the prestigious Tacoma Youth Symphony. I have recently completed my degree in Business Management from Azusa Pacific University, and anticipate finishing my Music Performance degree next spring (having already completed all but a couple requirements).
Tutored and motivated students in a one-on-one setting in order to develop their understanding of Music Theory.
Played 1st Clarinet in the Tacoma Young Artists Orchestra and Tacoma Youth Symphony, conducted by Dale Johnson and Dr. Paul-Elliott Cobbs, respectively.
Troy was very patient with my 11 year son in teaching him the notes and in blowing into the clarinet swiftly. My son expressed that Troy was kindly and patiently with him in learning his first instrument.
Very nice and polite. Patient to my 4 and half boy, and even my son told me he likes troy after he left. I think we will keep him for my boy's piano lessons.
Cassie had a great time and is looking forward to her next lesson.
He is very patient with my daughter and a wonderful instructor. My daughter and I are happy with him.
I have had the privilege of watching Troy perform and teach clarinet. He is outstanding at both. Any student of his would benefit immediately and immensely from his tutelage.
My daughter's were very fortunate to have had the opportunity to study under Troy. His patience, dedication and talent helped them to advance quickly while under his tutelage. They enjoyed his easy-going manner and sense of humor, and his fun lesson plans kept them looking forward to their next lesson. He is a dedicated instructor who is always prepared and is capable of teaching to a wide range of abilities.+ Read More
