Learn to use viola technique and musicality into your performance

I've been teaching viola for 4 years and my students have felt more prepared in their community and school orchestras. As students progress they will better understand scales, bow technique, and musical phrasing. I specialize in beginning technique and have the following tools available for your lessons: personalized exercise packets, a keyboard, and scores. Something different about me is that I offer students methods to begin composition. Adult students are welcome! Recorded lessons are available. Parents are welcome to sit in! Cancellation Policy: A missed lesson without notification will be charged as the full amount. Please let me know 24 hours in advance if you or your student will not be able to attend a lesson (For emergencies, just let me known as soon as you can.)

HI, I'm Trin! I'm excited to meet you on your journey with the viola! I love helping my students read music, understand theory, and apply their personal musicality to the art. I believe that the viola is an extension of ourselves, not just an instrument. That is something that my teacher always leads with in lessons. I am a graduate of Winthrop University, and currently pursuing a master's degree at Illinois State University. My teaching style centers around fundamental viola technique and theory, and how students can incorporate that into their own personal style. I also enjoy musicology and history fieldwork. I look forward to helping you reach your goals!
