Learn Music Theory: calling all composers, performers, and songwriters

I'm Tori, a composer from California, currently living in London. I love being challenged to compose all different styles from opera to pop music. The world of music is so diverse and there are so many puzzle pieces that you can put together to enrich your skill. One of the important pieces is music theory. I love music theory! (I must be a nerd...) Theory helps us in so many parts of learning music. It makes composition and songwriting easier and helps us to apply tools to simply make our music sound better. Performers will also benefit from learning theory. If you are feeling stuck in improv, knowing how music works will really help your sound be effective. I love to encorporate other musical tools into my lesson to help with yoru musical goals. Want to learn theory mixed with orchestration mixed with composition lessons?!? I got you. Let's learn together.

Working PST. - Composer from California - My favorite composition genre is opera - Wrote two operettas - Bachelors of Music in Composition from Azusa Pacific University - Master of the Arts in Composition from the Universtiy of Bristol - Always working in various comissions from pop to classical - Lover of teahing theory/composition/solfege to all of my students!! I like reading classic novels, travelling, family time, cooking, and going for long walks. As a teacher I am always working my hardest to teach in ways that each individual student understands. I use a lot of visuals and make it as hands on as possible. I do like to assign homework!! But I promise it is always (or most of the time...) fun homework.
