Singing with Tirah P.

Hi! My name is Tirah P. Each lesson with me will be a virtual and immersive experience dedicated to expanding your strengths and growing your vocal potential. As a teacher, I make sure to listen to the needs of my students, hearing what it is that they want to achieve with their voice and helping them on their journey to attain their goals. Don’t worry if you’ve never sung before or have little vocal experience. I am excited to help you find your voice. Together, we’ll learn warm-ups and exercises, breathing techniques, find songs that best fit your voice, and study repertoire that you’re passionate about. I truly can’t wait to hear you sing! Here's a little about me: I am a passionate and experienced vocalist. I have been singing since I was young, achieving music accolades and performance opportunities throughout my development as a musician. I studied for four months as a classical vocalist at The Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University. I am currently majoring in music at UNC Chapel Hill. I have received vocal lessons from highly regarded classical singers and well-rounded musicians. I have experience teaching beginning singers, helping them to find their voice through the music they love. I am flexible and passionate about music. I have experience singing in many genres including Classical, R&B, Indie, Gospel, Pop, Hip-Hop, and Musical Theatre. I look forward to sharing what I’ve learned with you!
