My lessons are centered around the incredible gifts I have received from playing the instrument - creativity, logic & reasoning skills, knowledge of history, an appreciation for the arts in general, and more. That is definitely what sets me apart from other music teachers. You will not only get to learn about the history that encompasses each piece, but you'll also gain a keen understanding of how the flute works and what your body needs to do in order to express yourself clearly on the instrument. Upon learning this, a student can become their own teacher - a bitter/sweet goal I set for myself to achieve with all my students.

My name is Thomas Jordan, and I have been playing the flute for 16 years. Learning about music and how to play the flute has been a part of my life journey that I'm incredibly glad I invested energy in. Even though I'm very much a "starving artist," there would have been way too many missed opportunities in my life had I not chosen this path.

I started teaching students in 2009 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, and am now looking for students online and in Miami, FL. Teaching is probably the best part of playing the instrument, so I do really enjoy giving lessons to anybody! Don't hesitate to ask any questions you may have.
