Hailed as "delightfully spirited, [with a] rich tone" (Cleveland Classical) violinist Thomas Cooper has appeared as a soloist with several American orchestras, including the Colorado College Festival Orchestra, the Coeur D'Alene Symphony Orchestra, the Credo Baroque Orchestra, the Dubois Orchestra at Harvard, and the Middlesex Chamber Orchestra among others. As a competitor, Cooper received top prizes at the Naftzger Young Artist Competition, Colorado College Festival Concerto Competition, American Protege Competition, Arlington National Competition, was a semi-finalist at the Washington International Competition, and most recently took first prize at the 2019 Cremona International Academy’s Violin Competition. As a chamber musician, Cooper has been heard alongside the Jupiter Quartet, the Oberlin Trio, and pianists Evgeny Sinaiski, and Orion Weiss.

Cooper recieved his M.M. degree from New England Conservatory with Soovin Kim and Malcolm Lowe, and received his B.M. degree from Oberlin Conservatory with Milan Vitek and Peter Slowik.
