    Teresa Sheppard has been performing as a harpist in the Atlanta area for the past 6 years. She enjoys pursuing many genres of music, focusing on Classical repertoire and her first love, music from the Celtic Isles. She was awarded the US Scottish Harp National Championship in 2014 and 2015. In 2015, Teresa traveled to Scotland and Ireland, having the opportunity to study with renowned Scottish and Irish harp players, including Ailie Robertson, Corrina Hewat, and Janet Harbison. She taught as a harp instructor with the Atlanta Junior Ceili Band from 2014-2015, and has taught Celtic music workshops with harp ensemble classes at Drew Charter School in Atlanta. Teresa has performed in various ensemble settings, including harp ensembles and the Atlanta Junior Ceili Band, at events such as the 2015 American Harp Society National Conference, Atlanta Celtic Christmas, IrishFest Atlanta, and WELSHfest. She loves making music with others and she is a frequent participant in many Celtic sessions in the Atlanta area. Teresa currently studies harp with Elisabeth Remy Johnson and is pursuing a Music Education degree at Kennesaw State, performing regularly with the KSU orchestra and wind ensemble throughout the school year.
