Hi, I'm Tenzin, an NYC native, and teacher of 20 years. I've been fortunate enough to have done a good share of traveling, and exposing myself to different music and pedagogical methods has given me a great deal of dexterity in how I teach. Teaching is central to my life, as much as is being the learner. As a neuro-diverse person who struggled himself through traditional schooling, I've made it a point to build a teaching approach from scratch with each new student, based around their own desires, aptitudes, and styles of learning. LEARNING SHOULD BE FUN, and rewarding in both the short term and the long. As a guitarist, I've travelled the world, mastered several styles, and have a finger style approach that is entirely my own. As a keyboardist, I've worked with many groups, and find the piano to be an optimal tool for teaching about music and how it works. Between the two, I've performed easily in no less than 30 different bands, working in NYC as a professional musician.
