Hello! My name is Tayler and I am a professional dance instructor. I graduated from USC's School of Theatre with a bachelor's degree in Theatre with an emphasis in musial theatre and dance. I am the head ballroom dance instructor at a studio in Orange County and also teach ballroom and tap at a local community college. I teach private lessons in the LA area as well. I have danced in and choreographed over 50 musicals, and have been dancing in musicals and plays for 15 years. I have choreographed over 500 first dances for weddings and have been teaching and competing in ballroom for 3 years and other dance forms for 15 years. As a student over the years, I have so loved learning and discovering my crafts! As a teacher, it is my desire to take what I have learned and to instill the same knowledge and passions of this wonderful industry into the students that I teach. My belief is that anyone can learn how to dance if they are willing to put their heart, mind and body into it! Whether you are a beginner, or have been dancing for years, I believe you are capable of anything if you desire to put the time and effort into it. Whether you are learning to dance to at parties, needing a choreographed dance, create a hobby, or become a ballroom dancer, I can help you achieve any of these goals. I have not only been working with beginners for years, but I have also competed and won in many categories in ballroom dance. If you are interested please contact me! Thank you so much! *** Lesson Details *** When giving lessons, I am laid back in how I treat the student's progress and personality as each are different in their speed and ways of learning, but I am strict about following instructions, being efficient in our lessons, and making sure the student gives me their 100%. I teach multiple styles including but not limited to; tap, musical theatre, cha cha, rumba, swing, mambo, waltz, tango, foxtrot, salsa, bachata, etc. I start the first lesson as an introduction so that I can find out your goals, get a gage for what experience you have or don't have, and start learning from there. From then on, our lessons will be focused on you and the dances you desire to learn and work on. After 3 to 6 months of working with me, I believe you will have come to an ability to be sufficient in at least one style if not more, depending on how dedicated you are. If you have any questions or want further details about lessons, please feel free to contact me! *** Studio Equipment*** Music *** Travel Equipment *** I provide music on my phone for the lessons. *** Specialties *** Ballroom dance, choreography for weddings, musical theatre choreography
