New to Take Lessons but not to teaching lessons! Learn guitar from a fun and 17+ years experienced guitar teacher and lifelong musician Are you interested in learning how to play guitar? I would love to guide you. I come from a musical family and have been playing guitar since a young age. I have been in many bands of all different genres and have toured nationally and internationally. (Think Punk Rock/Folk/Children's Music) I have been teaching music for over 17 years and I am fortunate enough to make this my full-time job in NYC. A nice perk is, since 2013, I have been teaching lessons online, so I have a good understanding of doing this through a computer! Playing music and teaching music is my life's work. I truly enjoy teaching children. For the past 8 years, I have been an instrumental teacher at a well-known private elementary school in Manhattan. I have a 3 year old myself and have been a classroom teacher for many years. I also love teaching adults. I think as adults we are reluctant to try something new and I am here to support your musical journey. I just started acting classes myself :) I have also studied music therapy and love to incorporate the healing powers of music in my lessons. Oh! I also play ukulele, bass, sing and write my own songs and love to teach songwriting! I look forward to playing with you!
