Bassoon with Tamara S.

I am an Arizona native. I have my Master's in Bassoon Performance from the University of Arizona and have taught and performed extensively in China. I have studied in both the American style of playing in university and German via my ongoing studies in China. I have experience in chamber music and orchestral performance with the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, the Shanghai Baroque Chamber Orchestra, the Suzhou Symphony, the Anemoi Wind Trio and the Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra. I have maintained a private studio for 8 years abroad and was a peripatetic music teacher with three international British schools in Shanghai for 4 years. My ABRSM students received Merit marks and above in their playing tests. As a teacher I strive to impart a lasting love of music and an excellent foundation in music theory. I encourage students to push their boundaries and think outside the box to solve technique problems.
