Classical Piano with Sunny C.

I am a classically trained pianist and having been playing for 12 years at Northwestern Bienen School of Music and Old Town School of Folk Music. Though I have only just graduated high school, I have completed all 12 levels of the Achievement in Music Program which include theory, aural skills, sight reading, harmonization, performance and technique. My training and experience comes from years of playing classical, folk, contemporary, and jazz music. Students can learn how to read music, learn about music theory, and learn their favorite songs on the piano. My adaptability, expertise, and formal training enables me to make learning piano simple and tons of fun. I am a fluent mandarin speaker and have been so for the past 18 years of my entire life. I have my seal of Biliteracy and can help you obtain it as well. Together we can approach mandarin, a very difficult language, in a interesting, fun, and simple way. We will look at history, culture, and more to help you get a better understanding of the language. I can also help with mandarin coursework, as I've taken the AP mandarin exam as well. I have experience working with those as young as 5 or 6 years old and can teach students from beginner to intermediate level. Any piano goals they may have, I can help them achieve!
