Steven has played piano/keyboards on Broadway and Off-Broadway. He has coached TV personalities including Debra Messing, Sean Hayes, Megan Mullally, Anthony Ramos, musical legends Harry Connick Jr, and Carole King as well as Tony Award winners Bill Irwin and Annaleigh Ashford. He is also a prolific published composer and arranger of two children’s shows (One Magic Christmas & The First Easter Bunny). He has taught music and musical theater to students of all ages. Most currently he is on the faculty of American Music and Dramatic Academy. Steven’s students have appeared on Broadway in Annie, Newsies, The Producers, 30 Rock among others. Steven has also has been on the faculty of Be Discovered giving seminars to young performers from all over the world. Steven holds a B.A. in Theatre/B.S. in Finance from the University of Bridgeport and an M.A. in Music Education from NYU.

Steven has been my good friend and coach for many years. He has a encyclopedic knowledge of music and can find anything you request, no matter how obscure. He has helped me tremendously in preparing for auditions and learning new tunes. His energy, enthusiasm, and sense of humor make the whole experience so enjoyable. I would recommend him to anyone looking for top notch vocal coach!

Steven is the best vocal coach I've ever gone to. Steven shows you how to sing a song and get it over. He will give you ideas and offer suggestions. He can also transpose a song into a more comfortable key, on the spot---which is enormously helpful, if you have a voice that falls in between the traditional sheet music keys. I would say, that for auditions, cabarets, or B'way shows, you can't do better than Steven--he knows his stuff, and most importantly, he cares about his students as individuals, and that is rare!
