I studied the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music courses. My background is classical, but I am proficient with pop, R&B, and punk. I begin my lessons with warm ups including, but not limited to scales, arpeggios, and sight reading exercises. These exercises ensure that we are establishing a base technique for aspiring pianists. We then move onto the selected pieces we are learning. I emphasize working on at least one classical piece while utilizing contemporary pieces as well to keep students engaged.

My name is Stephen, and I am a professional singer-songwriter. I majored in Music with a minor in Comparative Race and Ethnic Studies from Clark University. I received classical vocal training from Donald Boothman, an operatic baritone. While studying abroad in Cyprus, I passed grades 1, 4, and 7 of the Associated Boards of the Royal Schools of Music Examinations for piano, and grades 2 and 5 for Music Theory. I love kids, and I am very patient and outgoing! I am an adept vocalist who loves to teach and help people not only understand their voices better, but also learn how to utilize their instrument to the best of their ability.
