Houston Youth Harp Ensemble

The HYHE is a Saturday morning program that helps lever and pedal harp students in Houston further their musical growth, develop ensemble skills, and build leadership skills. With two ensembles covering all levels, Stephanie conducts both groups and coaches individual students on repertoire.

Da Camera of Houston

I perform at concert halls, museums, hospitals, and parks all across Houston in collaboration with art installations, community events, and fundraisers. Additionally, I teach classes for students of all ages, backgrounds, learning, and language levels at public private, and charter schools throughout the city. On a regular basis, I also give private harp demonstrations for pediatric cancer patients and their families.

The Monarch School and Institute

I taught music classes to students with neurological disorders, ages 4-14, and facilitated the development and production of musicals for advanced students. With young students, I built musical games and developed activities based on their individual needs.

Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp

An intensive arts camp for high-school students serious about music, I spend 6 hours working privately with students majoring and minoring in harp, in addition to teaching a harp ensemble and mentoring them in the building blocks of music theory.

The Emerge Center

I have developed chamber programs and demonstrations to groups of 6-­8 students with diagnosed behavioral and communication disorders, giving them opportunities to play and learn about both the harp and classical music.

Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra

I perform with small and large ensembles at venues all across Louisiana.

Annapolis Symphony Orchestra

I performed at Strathmore, the U.S. Naval Academy, Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts, and the National Presbyterian, and other venues throughout Maryland and Washington D.C. with the 70-piece Annapolis Symphony.

International Preschool

I taught regular classes in rhythm, movement, and music to kids ages 2-6.

The American Harp Society (AHS) is a non-profit organization whose mission is "to promote and foster the appreciation of the harp as a musical instrument, to encourage the composition of music for the harp and to improve the quality of performance of harpists.

A labor union representing professional musicians in the United States and Canada. Founding in 1896 as the successor to the "National League of Musicians," the AFM is the largest organization in the world representing the interests of professional musicians.

The World Harp Congress vision is promote the performing arts with special emphasis on harp composition, education, appreciation and performance. Sponsor an international harp congress with exhibits every three years. Encourage young harpists; in particular through the Focus on Youth concerts at each congress. Establish international communication by publishing the World Harp Congress Review twice a year with a network of correspondents throughout the world. Ensure support of the harp through the World Harp Congress Phia Berghout Endowment Fund. Provide opportunities to promote the harp and support harpists of all levels throughout the world for better mutual understanding, support and friendship.
