Hi, my name is Soyeong. I have extensive experience as a violinist, and I’ve competed across the US and performed across the world. I’m currently taking a hiatus from competing and performing, and am pouring my musical energy into teaching! Some things I am able to teach: ⁃basic technique: posture, hand positions, bow holds, shifts, etc. ⁃technical skill-building: scales, chords, arpeggios, etudes, agility drills, etc. ⁃performance coaching: musicality feedback, technical analysis, detailed advice, orchestral/chamber/solo music I understand that no two people have the same relationship to violin or the same learning style, and so the first few lessons will be partially devoted to finding what kind of teaching style you will benefit from the most. Whether you’re looking to hone your technical prowess or discuss your path/concerns as a musician, we can figure out a plan that works for you.
