I am a professional pianist and recording artist who enjoys teaching. I graduated in piano performance from the Juilliard School (MM) and Manhattan School of Music (BM). I am a professor at Montclair State University in NJ since 2013. I also have a private studio in my home and am a Steinway Affiliate Teacher. In 2018, I was awarded the NJMTA Teacher of the Year Award and also am recognized with the National Certification NCTM from the MTNA. Piano students can expect to improve every week in their performance. I will help each student to learn the basics of technique which will allow them to be confident in their playing. I believe that lessons should be fun and that students should look forward to each one! I can help any student to learn to play with ease, confidence, and expression. Musical performance allows people of all backgrounds to speak the same language. Playing the piano should be a wonderful experience as you study and learn new pieces at each lesson. I am patient and work to help each student play to their potential. I am intuitive and really understand the basics of piano technique. My students of all levels have won prizes and scholarships in competitions. They have performed in Carnegie Weill Hall, Lincoln Center and concert halls throughout the U.S. I am recognized internationally for my pedagogy presentations and have been a guest teacher and universities and conservatories in the United States and abroad. Teaching the Taubman Approach, a foremost method, promotes corrective movement. I worked with Dorothy Taubman after graduation from the foremost conservatories. I am Co-Director of the Taubman Festival which just celebrated its 10th year at Montclair State University which features masterclasses with students of all ages and levels with leading international renowned pianists.
