Music Theory with Sofia Z.

Sofia Zaitseva started violin and piano training at the age of 6 in the Dnepropetrovsk School of Music , Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine. At the age of 18 Sofia was awarded a government funded scholarship to continue her degree at the National Music Academy of the Ukraine in Kiev. In 2008 Sofia graduated from the Academy with a Masters Degree in Viola Performance, violin/viola teaching, string quartet and chamber ensemble. Sofia’s teaching technique is a unique blend of the European classical violin school, years of studying folk and jazz violin performance, and her knowledge of more accessible methods such as the Suzuki Violin School. Sofia is a dedicated community performer. Currently she is performing at numerous venues as a guest violinist and soloist throughout the North Shore.
