    As a professional and classical trained violinist for over 15 years, it is my desire to share the beauty of music and the joy of playing the violin with my students. I teach all levels and ages and customize lessons based on the needs and goals of the student. In addition to learning how to play the violin in your lessons with me, you will also develop in the areas of music theory, technique, musicality, ear training, and more.     Sofia Sednef is originally a Seattle-based musician and recent graduate of Seattle Pacific University with a BA in Music Performance. She plans to pursue her professional graduate studies in Music Performance in the coming year. Ms. Sednef starting teaching in the Fall of 2020, instructing individual students for short periods of time and coaching students on violin, Aural Skills, and Music Theory at Seattle Pacific University. She teaches violin, primarily, as well as piano, both instruments at all levels, ages, and abilities. Ms. Sednef has a primary focus on performing and teaching classical music, but has performed other genres such as pop, jazz, and bluegrass. Having studied violin for fifteen years and piano for twelve years, her experience and education makes her a reliable, knowledgeable, and passionate teacher. From performing at Benaroya Hall in Seattle, Washington to All Saint’s Church in Wittenburg, Germany, Ms. Sednef has many musical insights to share with students that will help them succeed in music and find joy playing on their instrument.
