Hi, my name is Slaven Ljujic and I teach DRUMS but I also teach MUSIC THEORY. I graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA and I have over 4 years of experience in teaching drums and music theory to all level students. First thing I like to do with my new student is to hear him(her) play the groove along to the music, or just to hear student play a simple drum groove.This way I can hear student`s unique sound, feel his(her) time, and see his(her) technique! After that, I prefer to set up the "goals" with the student and establish what the student wants to achieve. Every student gets a personalized program and approach from me. I think it is very important to organize the lesson in a way that makes it the most effective for the student . Student interested in many styles of music (jazz, funk, rock, blues, latin, gipsy...) can count on being able to learn more about each one .

My son, Jack, was taking drum lessons from Slaven for a long time! Slaven has a lot of patience and knows how to give knowledge in an easy and fun way! My son loved to practice while he was taking lessons from Slaven and he did all his homework as soon as he would get home.

Slaven is one of the most creative players I've had the opportunity to work with! He's highly professional, pushes students out of their comfort zone and making you really listen what you're playing. If you want to hear drastic improvement in your playing, especially groove and raise the awareness of music as a whole in a band setting, Slaven's the best choice. He was taught by renowned drummers and he's a person with loads of experiences in music industry. Aside of being great artist, he's kind, easy going and funny person you'll have great time with in teaching environment. Highly recommend taking lessons with him!
