I'm a lifelong musician with over a decade of experience on drum set and world drums, and an aspiring ethnomusicology professor specializing in African and Indian percussion. I teach drums in all styles and age groups, and have experience teaching special needs students. My playing and teaching style comes from my mentors John Celello, who studied under Terry Bozzio, and Jonathan Hepfer, who is now a professor at Cal Arts. The curriculum is engaging, fun, and streamlined to help get my students ready to play with other musicians early on without sacrificing proper technique and musicality. With a life goal of spreading my passion for rhythm in academia and beyond, I guide and inspire my students to develop their own personality on the instrument, creating expressive, unique musicians with a passion for their art and supreme confidence in their playing.
