Hello my name is Sheridan Richard I am a violin and a viola teacher. I teach online private lessons to students ranging from beginner to advanced playing. I participated in the Houston youth Symphony for 6 years from 2011-2017. I made All Regions twice and I was ranked number 1 in my region in 2015-16 year. I was the first person ever in History to go to Allstate my senior year of high school from my school in 2017 and I ranked 153 out of 562 kids. I am currently attending Houston Community College for music performance. I am also currently in the Scott Joplin Chamber orchestra and I’m teaching at the Allegro Violin school as well. I am interested in helping you musicians accomplish their dreams by providing music lesson from the comfort of your own home.

Ms. Sheridan has been my private teacher for quite a while now. She has helped me accomplish some of goals that I had set such as learning how to do vibrato. I am proud to say that Ms. Sheridan is shaping me to be the amazing violist that I hope to be one day. Even through the mist of the pandemic that we are facing, she still manages to be an effective and understanding teacher. I definitely recommend hiring her to work with you or your children.

I teach beginner violinist and violist with beginner friendly techniques and I also teach intermediate and advanced students. All of my students that have gone to U.I.L have gotten 1’s on all of their solos with an excellent rating and one of my students just auditioned for the Houston youth Symphony as well.
