Hello! My name is Shaun Day and I am a music educator, conductor, and trumpet performance teacher residing in the Cincinnati, Ohio area. I am excited that you have taken this opportunity to explore your highest potential on trumpet performance and I cannot wait to get started creating the everlasting experiences together!

In 2012 I received my Bachelor's of Music Education from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) where I had a concentration in trumpet performance. From 2012-2018 I taught as a band director for grades 5-12 at the Forest Hills School District in Cincinnati, Ohio for six years. During that time I assisted in developing music curriculums for the district, was the head director of the jazz program and founded the annual Jazz Festival for the greater Cincinnati area, and held the position of Secretary and Treasurer for the District 14 Ohio Music Education Association. In May of 2020 I received my Master's in Wind Conducting from CCM and have led professional academic groups from large wind ensembles, chamber ensembles, and brass ensembles, and participated in the Oklahoma University and the University of Texas at Austin Conducting Workshops. My students have participated in All-State Ensembles, Superior rankings in solo&ensemble, and are enrolled in music performance, conducting, and music education degrees.

It is my goal to create a positive and enriching lesson experience that is specifically custom to your needs and personal goals. I am free to answer any questions you may have and it is my hope to share amazing musical experiences together!
