We are in unprecedented times. I believe it is important to have fun while making music. COVID-19 has required us to shift our teaching approaches. Even though we are at a time of using virtual platforms, I value open communication. Any questions or concerns should be addressed as I value music education. I began to play the violin when I was just 6 years old. I didn’t get serious about the violin until I was in middle school. By then, I started to practice 2 hours a day. I continued my violin studies into an undergraduate career at SUNY Purchase studying with violinist Laurie Smukler. After my undergraduate studies, I obtained my master's in music at New York University studying with violinist Stephanie Chase. In the year 2020, I received my certification in music education K-12 from CUNY Queens. I specialize in Classical violin, typically use Suzuki methods, String builder books and traditional scales and etude books such as Wohlfahrt, Mazas and sitt. About Seeri G. Seeri G. has over 18 years of teaching experience in violin. Currently, she teaches at a middle school. She currently teaches online and offers 30, 45, 60 minute lessons. She provides traditional classical training on violin. She works with students to improve their technique, posture, music reading skills, counting, intonation, phrasing, bowing, positions and and shares her passion for music. In addition, she will provide instruction on music theory and music history as part of instrumental lessons as it applies.
