I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in music w/ a piano concentration & a Master of Music in music theory degree both from the University of Maryland. I also started a Ph.D degree in music theory from the University of North Texas. I can help you become the best musician you can be & I can help you attain your goals. I have 15years full time teaching experience & I have also taught at the community college & at the university level. I love teaching very much & I love sharing it w/ others! *** Lesson Details *** I teach all levels & all ages we will have a lot of fun together! I feel it's important that students learn letter names & that a student should practice counting. I will at times havea beginning student say letters, counts, & words out loud. I will have you tell me what styles & genres of music you like then we will set our goals to attain that. I have a nurturing & relaxed approach although I do not like to hear wrong notes! We will try to have a minimum of those! I use the Faber & Faber method I think the pieces in these books are very interesting & musical. After about 6 months your pieces will really start to sparkle! *** Specialties *** I use the Faber & Faber method books.
