I've spent almost my entire life onstage. In fact, I appeared onstage before I was even born, as my mother performed in a play when she was pregnant with me. I was bitten by the acting bug at the ripe age of 3, and have been performing ever since.

When I was 18, I studied acting for both film and stage at the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Hollywood, Ca. I later received a Bachelors degree in theatre, and have earned my Master's in Education. I've taught multiple subjects to a variety of ages, specializing in middle school and high school students, but teaching acting has always been my favorite.

My experience with theatre doesn't just come from being onstage or teaching. I also have extensive experience with directing and play-writing. I've also taught both of those subjects as well! For what I do, I love to teach others to do.

As a former Montessori teacher, I am adept at crafting lessons particular to each students' needs. I meet you at your level, and move at whatever pace is most comfortable for you. I see teaching as a partnership, where we work together to discover your full potential. I hope to work with you, and see where this journey may take us.

About Sarah T.

I first began acting 31 years ago and teaching in 2008. I was bitten by the theatre bug when I was only three years old and have been performing ever since. When I'm not up on the stage, I'm usually found behind the scenes directing, writing, consulting, or coaching.

At 18 I attended the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Hollywood, California. I studied at the elite school for two years, enjoying such classes as: movement, voice, musical theatre, and method acting.

Life eventually brought me back to the East coast, where I continued my studies, earning a Bachelor's degree in Theatre and a Master's in Education. I also began to flex my skills as a director and playwright. I quickly fell in love with teaching, and found theatre to be my favorite subject to teach.

I have taught a variety of different ages in various capacities, going all the way back to middle school when I helped teach drama to elementary students during summer camps. I worked as a Montessori teacher for many years, and began a school wide annual winter performance, which I would often write, direct, and choreograph. I also began an annual Shakespeare production for the middle and high school students, which I abridged and directed each year.

No matter your purpose for taking acting or creative writing lessons, I can help you reach your goals. No matter if you are a child or adult, novice or experienced, for a short period or long time; I can create lessons that meet your needs.

If you're ready to learn, then I'm ready to teach you.

Many years ago, I had the pleasure of TEACHING and directing my lovely Sarah in two different community musical theatre productions: "Cinderella" and of "Huckleberry Finn". Sarah's integrity and determination for learning her speaking parts and her vocal solos truly sparked the driving energy amongst the members of the entire cast and crew. Her enthusiastic approach and bubbly personality are to this day so contagious and positively affects everyone around her, like ripples in a pond. Sarah is now a super mom and inspiring teacher as she encourages her students to achieve their greatest thespian potential. I highly recommend Sarah as an ideal teacher, drama coach and acting director.

Mrs. Sarah was an amazing acting teacher and was such a great role model to me growing up. I took several of her drama camps and I also did Julius Caesar, Merchant of Venice and Midsummer's Night Dream with her as the director. She's so helpful and encouraging and genuinely wants you to succeed. Very sweet lady.

I took Ms. Sarah’s class in middle school and we always had fun and learned a lot. She gave us great tips for memorizing lines and getting into character for monologues, as well as teaching us improvisation through fun games and exercises. She is a very kind, patient, and enthusiastic person who loves acting and cares deeply about all of her students. She is willing to work with anyone who is struggling, as long as they are willing to put in the work as well, because she truly wants everyone to succeed. If she can teach middle schoolers, she can teach anyone!

I worked in various different roles in my time at Montessori of Macon, starting as a substitute and eventually coming to run the middle and high school program. My constant role, however, was that of drama teacher and director of the annual school wide Winter Program as well as the annual middle/high Shakespeare performance. I also ran several theatre camps during school breaks. I taught several subjects over the years, including; creative writing, literature, ELA, history, social studies, and drama.
