I have a wide range of experience with performing many genres of music and always seek to bring out the best and most confident performance in all of my students. During my Masters at the IU Jacobs School of Music, I specialized in the performance of Baroque vocal repertoire and learned technical exercises that can help increase flexibility of technique in singing any genre of music. My diverse performance experiences across classical, opera, baroque, and musical theater enable me to encourage all students to reach their full potential with their singing voice and confidence that radiates into all areas of their lives.
About Sarah R.
I am an active vocalist in the Pittsburgh area and recent graduate of the Early Music Voice Master’s program at IU Jacobs School of Music, where I studied baroque and renaissance vocal repertoire with Steven Rickards and Dana Marsh.
My teaching philosophy centers around developing both a love of music and solid, healthy vocal technique. I believe that the journey to finding one's vocal potential is highly rewarding and satisfying for people of all walks of life and that studying music can help all people find confidence and peace in their lives.
