Master of Music - Oboe Performance
About Sarah K.
Hi! I am a Pittsburgh-based professional oboist, teacher, and reedmaker. I provide private oboe instruction for players of all ages and levels. Private lessons are tailored toward each individual student and cover everything from fundamentals to technique and musicianship. Reed-making instruction is also offered and encouraged for intermediate and advanced students. For those who live outside of the Pittsburgh area, online lessons through Skype are offered as well.
During lessons, we will study scales, etudes, and solo music. Etude books and solo pieces will be recommended that are appropriate to the student's level, although beginners are welcome to work from their school ensemble books as well. The student can also bring to lessons music for outside groups such as school, youth orchestras, etc. as necessary. For online students, copies of your music should be emailed or snail-mailed ahead of the lesson.
