Piano with Sarah C.

My first experiences with piano involved learning simple duets with my Mom like "Chopsticks" and "Heart and Soul." I began piano lessons as soon as I could and continued to play throughout my childhood, simultaneously exploring my other musical interests by taking dance lessons, writing songs and performing in musicals at our local theater. After graduating from Sam Houston State University with a BFA in Musical Theater in 2003, I began performing professionally and teaching voice and piano lessons. I found I loved teaching more than performing and segued into teaching piano and preschool. These days I love infusing all the fun teaching ideas I've learned from preschool, musical theater and classical training into my lessons. I never lose sight of the student's enjoyment, and work hard to find music that each student loves to play. And I find consistently that the more my students learn about piano, the more they love it!
