Hello! My name is Sarah and I am so excited for the opportunity to work with you! I am an accomplished music instructor and performer with more than five years of teaching experience and over thirteen years of performance experience. I am currently pursuing a master’s degree in Music Performance from the University of Minnesota Twin-Cities under the tutelage of Immanuel Davis and hold a bachelor’s degree in Music Performance from Michigan State University studying under of Richard Sherman. As an advocate for fine arts education, I come with an understanding of the tremendous value that music brings to the lives of all people. I personally believe that music education should be accessible to anyone no matter what background and I strive to make every student feel welcome in my studio. My experience lies in teaching comprehensive music lessons, particularly in the flute, to all ages and levels. From beginning fundamentals to more advanced repertoire, I possess a keen ability to mentor students, encouraging them to live into their musical goals and aspirations while cultivating an environment that is enjoyable and engaging.
