Violin with Sara B.

Sara B. is a musician currently residing in the Tri-State area with her husband, Zach. Teaching students to understand and enjoy music is one of her greatest joys of life. After hearing the violin played for the first time at the age of four, Sara fell in love with music, and more specifically, the violin. Sara began her music education at the age of four when she began taking violin lessons. As she grew, her love for the violin, piano (she began playing at the age of 12), and music in general, grew too. ​ Throughout her musical training, Sara has learned seven different instruments, with violin as her emphasis. Her teachers include Larry Grika, a violinist with the Philadelphia Orchestra for over 40 years. He was instrumental in guiding Sara into a career with music. ​ In 2012, Sara graduated from Crown College in Knoxville, TN, with a degree in music and also received Crown Music Conservatory Music Teacher Certifications in both violin and piano. Upon graduation, Sara moved to Puerto Rico where she had the opportunity to teach elementary music and private music lessons at a private school located outside of San Juan. In 2015, she moved back to Knoxville to work on a Master's degree in education. ​ Sara has taught private piano and violin lessons for over ten years and is excited to begin teaching in the Tri-state area. Her students have gone on to study and perform music in college, as well as perform in local orchestras and ensembles. She has a passion for teaching music and loves watching her students become musicians!
