Hello! My name is Sam, I'm 22 and I am a skilled, well rounded drummer, who has been playing the drums for 9 years! Are you looking to learn drums for marching band? Want to play Drum set in a band? Or just for fun?? - I can teach students how to Read and Write drum music, how to play Drum Set for any type of genre, learn how to play Marching Instruments, and some Auxiliary percussion! - You will learn rudiments and technique, how to improvise around the Kit, Theory and more! I believe that lessons should be a fun, stress free experience for everyone involved! I am knowledgeable in the fact that not everyone learns in the same way and I have several techniques to help overcome any possible difficulties in the learning process. If you want to know more about me and my background of percussion.. -I started learning drums when I was about 13 years old and was trained for 6 years, with several instructors, so I can both fluently read and write drum music and I specialize in teaching drum set! -I have been on the drum line in Marching band for both my junior high and high school career, as well as playing all types of auxiliary percussion and drum set in Concert/Jazz Bands. -I was asked by U of M to play in their drum line, as well as chosen to play for Honor's band. -I was in my own band and played live shows all around the area, as well as having performed in many competitions, solo and with percussion ensembles, as well as Concert/Symphonic bands, All with first Divisions. I have even traveled to New York in Radio City Music Hall and even got the opportunity to March down main street and perform Disney songs in their orchestra hall in Orlando, Florida's Disney World. I am very comfortable playing in front of people and love to teach drums because it's one of my favorite things!
