Hi! Ryan here. 15 years ago I started playing guitar, and have loved it ever since! You'll find that most guitar teachers are ex- or current professionals. While I'm not one, I happen to be a very good at teaching beginners.

When I teach, I aim to establish good habits and teach my students the tools they can use to learn on their own. Playing guitar is 10% lesson and 90% practice. So what I'll do is teach you how to practice most efficiently. I've wasted a lot of time practicing the wrong way back when I started, so I know what you should avoid :) I can teach you from the very beginning to the point where you can sing and play at the same time while doing fun finger-picking or something awesome.

I'm a professional guitar hobbyist :) Played guitar since 6th grade (15 years ago). I play acoustic, rock, blues and a little bit of Jazz.

I've taught a few friends to play guitar over the years, I know that may not sound like much, but I sure can teach a beginner to get started and be on their way to intermediate level!

I was an engineer for about 6 years and now going back to school to become a nurse. In the meantime, I can use some income so here I am!
