Passionate guitarist and musician teaching guitar lessons
I began my musical training in Huntington Beach, California, guided by esteemed blues musician Walter Trout. Upon moving to New Jersey in 2010, I was gradually exposed to the New York metropolitan area jazz scene, becoming enamored with it. This passion led me to the New Jersey Performing Arts Center's jazz program and the New Jersey Youth Jazz Orchestra. During this time, I appeared on stage with jazz greats like Christian McBride, Jon Faddis, Stefon Harris, and Paquito D'Rivera. I graduated from the William Paterson Jazz Program in 2020 where I studied and performed with top-tier musicians such as Bill Charlap, Steve LaSpina, Harold Mabern, and Joe Lovano. I play regularly in Manhattan at various restaurants and bars, including La Lanterna di Vittorio's Bar Next Door, the Antique Garage and the Standard Hotel. My latest residency is at the Stone House in Watchung, NJ, and I am currently enrolled at the Manhattan School of Music to further pursue my studies in jazz music. Despite my training as a jazz/blues guitarist, I teach a wide range of style from folk and bossa nova to rock and pop music. I enjoy teaching students of all ages, and will tailor each lesson towards the specific goals of each student. Looking forward to meeting you and helping you along your musical journey!

My 7 year old son has been taking online lessons with Ryan for over a year now. Ryan is absolutely the most patient and knowledgeable instructor we could have ever hoped for. He really gets his students and their needs. I wasn't sure how virtual lessons would go for my young son, but honestly it has been awesome! I can't say enough good things about Ryan and his teaching style!
