I am a classically trained pianist and am still actively performing as well as teaching. My desire is to pass on my knowledge and experience to another generation of musicians. I love playing and performing for others on the piano. It is this passion coming through in the music that I play that touches the hearts of the listeners. That is what I want for my students, to feel and love the music that they are producing so much, that practicing becomes a joy, playing becomes a passion, and learning is accelerated. Lessons with me are a varied mix of solid instruction, humor, integrated theory, integrated music history, and learning to involve the entire body and mind in playing the piano. I pride myself in customizing an approach for each student to help them achieve the love of music I mentioned before, and to develop their abilities as efficiently as possible. I try to be very balanced when it comes to praising the good qualities I observe, while also maintaining high standards and expectations.
