I started training as a dancer when I was in my twenties. I trained in the styles of Modern, Contemporary, Jazz, and ballet. I started teaching dance in 1999 to children and teens. My training was influenced by the disciplines from Limon and Horton dance. I would say that I'm a lyrical Comtemporary/Modern Dancer and my choreography reflects this. I obtained my Bachelors in Performing Arts from Saint Mary's College of California and I was Artistic Director from 2003-2005 for Envisions Dance and Theatre in Berkeley, California. I have taught Childrens Dance at many schools throughout the Bay Area and have performed as a soloist and with many amazings dancers and companies from the Bay Area to Santa Fe, New Mexico. My mission and my goal as a dance teacher is to give all my students of all ages the skills and the tools they need to become a well rounded dancer. I place great importance on the fundamental principles for technical efficiency, injury prevention, musicality, aesthetics, and the path to discovering creativity and self expression. I hope to bring the joy of dance into your lives. I live in Chico, California and can teach privates in person or a class if you have friends that would also enjoy having a class in Contemporary, Modern, and Jazz at a Professional Studio here in Chico.
