Hi, there! My name is Robin L. and I can't wait to meet you! I've been teaching private lessons since 2014 and have loved helping my students learn to play their band instrument for solo competitions, or just for fun! I have a Masters degree in saxophone performance from San Jose State and went to Roberts Wesleyan College where I earned a bachelors degree in music education (K-12). I'm an energetic and fun person. I believe that with hard work and dedication, you can accomplish anything; but I also believe that the process should be fun! I look forward to helping you reach your goals!

Our daughter really likes her. She's patient and eager to help Lessa learn and catch up to her grade level.

Robin is wonderful!

Robin was early to our first lesson. She worked with my son easily, he felt comfortable with her. She helped him with his fingering and gave tips for the difficult notes. We look forward to working with her for the next month.

Robin is friendly, supportive, knowledgeable, and a skilled teacher. We appreciated her help.

Don't trust Robin as your kids teacjher!
When we stumbled upon her - we read her reviews and ended up in requesting a session with Robin. I gave a schedule and Robin agreed to that. I was very specific in setting the expectation with take lessons that i am looking to utilize summer vacations as much as possible. Robin takes the first lesson (which was an ice breaker for my 6 year old daughter, as first lesson cannot be more than that). But as soon as the lesson was over, Robin sends the initiation that she is out for 2 weeks. Not only that, the very next class she just abruptly cancels the session. She very well knew that how keen we were for her to cover up as much ground as possible. TO explain a 6 year old such a behavior is not easy. It's negative attitude from Robin and had to somehow makeup something for my daughter. We ended up canceling all her sessions. Robin did not even feel necessary to call and schedule in such a way that its a progress for my daughter. I wrote 2-3 emails and we called 3 times. She did not respond to any of our calls. I you are looking for your child - i would not recommend Robin to be trusted. Just keep away from her.
When i was scheduling

After one lesson, I really think I may be able to learn the piano! Robin is terrific. I felt absolutely no pressure. At 62 years young I want a little apprehensive about actually taking piano lessons. Not any more.
Thank you Robin.

We feel very fortunate to have found Robin. She is a wonderful and very talented teacher.

My daughter is thriving under Robin's guidance. She is an intermediate clarinetist in middle school. Robin is a dynamic teacher who connects well with her, as I believe she would with most children and youth. Robin has been helping my daughter in her musicianship and exploration of the clarinet. They work on pieces for both the school band and my daughter's personal interest. Lessons are enjoyable and Robin is a skilled, reliable and encouraging teacher. We feel fortunate to have found her.

My first lesson with Robin was great. I am a adult learner and she moved with a pace that complemented my speed. Just what I needed. Thanks!

My daughter (7 years) loves and enjoys learning piano from Robin. Robin is patient, nice, and works with my daughter at her pace.

Very friendly and patient

Great teacher, very nice person!

Robin helped my daughter become interested in clarinet by her skill . She then proceeded to support her by providing clarinet lessons when she was available. Robin was able to help my daughter learn AND enjoy it! A gift - Robin has a gift.

Excellent instructor!! She knows what is appropriate to work on each lesson. Her musicianship is evident from the very first lesson. She takes the time to understand where the student is and what is best to focus on. She comes prepared and is enthusiastic. She is especially good teaching children. I have seen her in action teaching beginner piano, beginner clarinet, and beginner/intermediate sax.
