    About Robert Z.

I teach up-right bass (double bass or acoustic bass), and music theory. Many of my students take the AP Music Theory test after approximately a year. I'm a graduate of Juilliard (BM and MM) and earned a doctorate from the Eastman School of Music. Many of my students have been accepted to these schools. I accept all types of students and am particularly successful with helping my students use the bass as a means of getting into a great college or university. I also work a great deal with preparing students for all-state auditions. My teaching style revolves around securing technique, so that the music is able to emerge. I'm aware of every aspect of playing the bass, including instrument set up and repair.
